German lawmakers oppose Chinese wind project on sabotage fears

HAMBURG, Germany — The frigid North Sea off the coast of Germany and the Netherlands has become the site of another quarrel about Chinese overreach in Europe.

Lawmakers in Germany are trying to block a plan by domestic investor Luxcara to construct a wind farm with 16 turbines made by Guangdong-based Mingyang Smart Energy Group in those waters, off Borkum island.
