Hong Kong woos global stars after missing out on Taylor Swift

Date:

HONG KONG — Hong Kong is courting performers from around the world with a new stadium, looking to restore the city’s status as a destination after losing out to Singapore to host Taylor Swift last year.

Kai Tak Sports Park opened on March 1 near the site of the old Kai Tak Airport. The main stadium seats up to 50,000, with an exterior that can light up in different colors and display messages during events.
