China’s Boeing freeze adds to U.S. economic blowback from Trump tariffs

Date:

WASHINGTON/NEW YORK/HOUSTON, Texas — China’s move to halt the delivery of Boeing aircraft is expected to add to the economic pain in the U.S. resulting from President Donald Trump’s tariff policy.

The Chinese government has told domestic airlines not to take further deliveries of Boeing jets and aircraft-related components from U.S. suppliers, Bloomberg News and other media reported Tuesday. The move is widely seen as retaliation against the tariffs of up to 145% imposed on China by the Trump administration.
