LAS VEGAS, Nevada — On a recent night at the storied Bellagio hotel and casino in Las Vegas, the high roller room told a tale of the changing fortunes of the city’s Asian gamers.

Casually dressed players sipped drinks around a table, their attention focused on a game of baccarat. But unlike the scene just a few years ago, none of the players were Chinese.
