Nissan partially reverses U.S. output cut in response to Trump tariff

Date:

TOKYO — Japan’s Nissan Motor said Friday it would partially reverse planned production cutbacks in the U.S. in response to the additional tariffs on imported cars imposed by the Trump administration the previous day.

Nissan will maintain production shifts at a plant in the southern state of Tennessee, which had been scheduled to reduce production by half, sometime after April. Nissan makes the Rogue sports utility vehicle at its Smyrna plant in Tennessee.
