OSAKA — Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, opened on Sunday, as the number of people who booked to visit exceeded 140,000.

While the venue was bustling despite criticism that momentum was sluggish, issues also emerged for the “queue-free Expo” that the Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition is aiming for. Some overseas pavilions were unable to open due to delayed preparations.
