Shenzhen bathhouses help China’s overworked youth escape daily grind

GUANGZHOU — Young people in the highly competitive Shenzhen job market are turning to modern bathhouses where they can soak, eat, sleep, play games and spend nearly an entire day to escape the stress of their daily lives.

Xitang Hot Spring opened in May last year. Originally designed to accommodate guests at an attached hotel, it was converted for use by the general public in anticipation of wider demand.
