South Korean sentiment swings, buoying Yoon’s party as arrest nears

Date:

SEOUL — Several public opinion polls in South Korea show support for the ruling party is recovering, with the swing coming as a second attempt to arrest President Yoon Suk Yeol is imminent — possibly as early as Wednesday.

Lawmakers from the ruling People Power Party applauded Na Kyung-won when the veteran fifth-term legislator of the conservative party completed her questions to cabinet members at the National Assembly last week. They cheered for and shook hands with Na as she left the main hall with a big smile.
