Taiwan’s Delta Electronics, Foxconn ramp up investment in Thailand

BANGKOK/TAIPEI — Delta Electronics and other Taiwanese businesses are investing heavily in Thailand as U.S. tariffs and tensions in the Taiwan Strait force them to diversify production capabilities currently concentrated on mainland China.

Construction on a new Delta Electronics factory is underway at Thailand’s Bangpoo Industrial Estate, a roughly half-hour east from central Bangkok. The company brought another plant onstream at the industrial park in March 2024.
